Deadline Hollywood:‘Locke & Key’ Drama From Carlton Cuse, Joe Hill & IDW Gets Hulu Pilot Order, Scott Derrickson To Direct

IDW Publishing’s Locke & Key series has been given a pilot order by the renowned online streaming service, Hulu. The pilot will be a one-hour fantasy/ horror drama of the beloved comic book series written by Joe Hill (The Fireman) with art from Gabriel Rodriguez (Little Nemo). The project coming from IDW Entertainment will be overseen by show runner Carlton Cuse (Lost, Bates Motel) along with director Scott Derrickson (Doctor Strange).

Cuse developed Locke & Key with Hill who wrote the script on spec. The finished script was sent to one director, Derrickson, who came on board right away and, if the pilot goes to series, is expected to stay with the show for the first season and direct multiple episodes before segueing to the Doctor Strange sequel.” – Deadline Hollywood.
