Children of the Grave

Team Orphan, a U.S. Special Forces team made up of three hardened soldiers, has been tasked with assassinating a maniacal terrorist guilty of genocide on a massive scale. In their desperate quest to rid the world of the rogue terrorist, Team Orphan will soon learn they are not the only ones seeking his death. The terrorist's many small victims- the children he has destroyed- have returned from the dead, bent on revenge. Team Orphan is caught in the middle, wondering who they should fear most: the terrorist, themselves or the Children of the Grave? The artwork for the entire miniseries collected here has been given new greytone shading from artist Casey Maloney, and this special collection will also feature an all-new cover from artist Dan Brereton!

San Diego, CA -- IDW Publishing's CHILDREN OF THE GRAVE graphic novel is featured in the "Lifelines" section of the October 9th issue of all four Military Times Magazines, which include Marine Corps Times, Army Times, Navy Times and Air Force Times. The CHILDREN OF THE GRAVE feature appears in both the print and online editions of the magazines.

CHILDREN OF THE GRAVE writer/creator Tom Waltz, as well as COTG artist Casey Maloney, took part in in-depth interviews for the feature article, which also includes plenty of preview art from the highly-acclaimed graphic novel, as well as recent photos of the creators.

"I was really excited when I got the message from Times' journalist Bryant Jordan that they wanted to do such a huge feature piece on CHILDREN OF THE GRAVE," said Waltz, a former Marine, Desert Storm vet, and former National Guard Military Policeman. "Obviously, it's great to get some exposure outside the normal direct market avenues for our comic, not to mention having the chance to boast about the comics industry as a whole.

"But, for me," Waltz continued, "it's doubly nice to get the word out to the troops, all of whom have my undying support for the hard and dangerous work they do."

Those interested in the feature article can go to www.militarycity.com to find direct links to the four Military Times Magazines.

CHILDREN OF THE GRAVE was orginally published by Shooting Star Comics in four separate issues in 2005. The mini-series was later collected into trade paperback format by IDW Publishing. The collected edition was released in August 2006. CHILDREN OF THE GRAVE is available for purchase at your local comics sellers. If your LCS does not have a copy, COTG is also available online at www.IDWPublishing.com, as well as at other online booksellers such as Amazon.com, BarnesandNoble.com, etc.
