The Cape 1969San Diego, CA (March20, 2012)—When a medevac helicopter is shot down over enemyterritory against the raging, chilling backdrop of the Vietnam War,a crew of American soldiers must battle strange terrain and thecunning, native Vietcong for survival. As hours pass without hopefor a rescue, both sides discover something more terrifying anddeadly yet.
Featuring a story by original Cape creators JoeHill and Jason Ciaramella and art andcolors by The Cape colorist/Road Rage artistNelson Daniel, The Cape: 1969 isthe origin of darkly thrilling, Eisner-nominated miniseries.
“The Cape is one of my favorite miniseries we’ve everpublished, and certainly one of the darkest,” saidChris Ryall, IDW’ Chief CreativeOfficer/Editor-in-Chief. “And it’s one I’m alltoo happy to revisit here, especially since this series is such anoriginal extension of the storyline and not just re-treading whatyou’ve already seen. Also, I want to see what levels ofdepravity the characters—and the creators—sink to thistime around.”
