IDW 10th Anniversary Year Logo Contest

On April 10th, IDW is commemorating our 10th anniversary and we want you to help us celebrate! Throughout the month of April, submit your best ideas for IDW’s 10th anniversary logo. In May, we’ll pick our favorite and use it on some of our books for the rest of the year! In addition to getting a credit in each book where your logo appears, the winner will also receive a free copy of IDW: The First Decade. Several runners-up will also receive IDW prizes.

Below are the current IDW Logos.  Now let's see what you can do!

Here are the rules:

  • The submission must be provided as a .jpg or .png at 72 dpi and no larger than 1024 x 728 px.
  • You must include your name, hometown, and age with your submission.  This can be in your email or on the image file.
  • No more than 5 logo concepts can be entered into the competition by any individual or group.  Multiple logo concepts should ideally be placed into a single submission.
  • Your email submission must have the subject line: "IDW X Logo Contest"
  • Deadline - All entries must be received by IDW no later than 5pm PDT April 30th.
  • And by entering you agree to the legal disclaimer below.

Email your submission to contests@idwpublishing.com.  Be certain that you include the subject line, "IDW X Logo Contest", otherwise your submission may not be received.

Winners will be contacted via email.

PLEASE READ BEFORE SUBMITTING

All entries submitted by contestants become the property of IDW PUBLISHING, INC. ("IDW"). By participating in this Contest, each participant agrees that IDW may, at its option, post the entry online on IDW's website, IDW's Affiliate Sites and Partner Sites. IDW shall be the lawful owner in and to any and all intellectual property associated with any and all materials, in whole or in part, and be deemed the author thereof, including copyrights, trademarks, or any other rights in connection therewith, and including the right to register and exploit the same in its own name or nominee. Participant agrees to cooperate in the execution of any documents reasonably necessary for the purpose of effectuating IDW's ownership rights hereunder.

WARRANTY AND RELEASE: By entering this Contest and submitting your work ("Submission"), you hereby warrant that you own and control the rights, and grant the Sponsor, IDW PUBLISHING Inc., it's affiliates, subsidiaries, assigns, licensees, and legal representatives thereto, the irrevocable, perpetual, worldwide right to use, reproduce, edit, market, broadcast, store, distribute through itself or third parties, reproduce, re-arrange, change, add to or delete from, translate, adapt or otherwise revise and/or alter the Submission in any way, and Release IDW from any and all violations of said Warranty.

PROHIBITED MATERIAL: Entered Submission Material, or any portion thereof that is, in IDW's sole discretion, shall not contain, include or involve any of the following:

  • Crude, obscene, lewd, vulgar or offensive pictures, depictions, images, language gang signs and/or symbols unsuitable for display at IDW's sole discretion

  • Gratuitous violence, gun or other imagery or gestures of weapons

  • Nudity, explicit, graphic or sexual activity

  • Hard liquor use or product images

  • License plates, phone numbers, personal addresses (physical or email ) or other information which may violate the privacy rights of any individual

  • Website or web page links

  • Illegal drug or alcohol use or abuse

  • Derogatory characterizations of any ethnic, racial, sexual or religious groups, humiliate other people (publicly or otherwise), any assault or threatening of others

  • Any violation of rights or property of any third persons

  • Illegal (discriminatory, harassing) or inappropriate activity, behavior or conduct (i.e, infliction of emotional distress)

  • Conduct or activities in violation of these Official Contest Rules

  • Any other content, display, materials and/or images that is or could be considered inappropriate, unsuitable or offensive, as determined by IDW in its sole discretion

  • Any third party materials (including but not limited to music) that may otherwise violate or infringe (or may infringe) any of the following:

    • Clothing or objects should not contain any visible logos, drawings, cartoons, phrases, trademarks or other third-party materials.

    • All Entry Material must be suitable for publication, broadcast, or webcast as determined in the sole discretion of IDW.

    • No Entry Material shall contain any content or performance that has been broadcast or streamed, published or televised on television or as part of a recording of a motion picture film or television program.
